Bio
Shadow Co.'s Andrew Wallerstein is a New York-based visual artist, musician and filmmaker, and a prolific creator of cult Industrial EDM, Post-Punk Funk and Dub Reggae grooves. He lives with his wife Kristen and a pair of Norwich Terriers, splitting their time between NYC and Princeton, NJ.
Andrew grew up in Manhattan, where he began his study of music at the tender age of five. By the time he started at Vassar College over a decade later he'd picked up piano, guitar and bass, but lacked the passion for performance shared by schoolmates Mark Ronson, Olivier Strauch, Kat Mills, and Sam Barron.
All this changed with the advent of digital recording technology, when Andrew found his home in the modern recording studio. Years of work as a professional designer had honed crucial skills with industry-standard tools for digital creation, making this transition a natural one. Throw in immeasurable aid from a number of local artists, and Shadow Company was born ;)
The road ahead? Giant steps along the industrial EDM path, and delving even deeper into Dub in our next release Psychonaut. Be sure to check out the Company's latest releases and sign up for our newsletter to download a free track from our upcoming release!
