And while the subject must remain a secret (at least for now), more details will trickle in as they are allowed! An unflinching examination of one of the darkest episodes in American history, its lessons are eveb more pertinent today than they were half a century ago!
Shadow Companytag:www.andrewwallerstein.com,2005:Post/57025202019-04-01T12:53:26-04:002023-12-10T11:33:16-05:002019 Reading List
OMG they read?!? Well I do. Dark, pre-industrial, magnificent tales (most of them anyway), of which a surprising few have been made. But a recent research project, along with a mini Blade Runner binge, prompted the following list... Enjoy, my fellow Netizens!

Johnny Mnemonic

Total Recall (original and remake)

Blade Runner

Blade Runner 2049

Altered Carbon (series)

Paycheck

Ghost in the Shell

Love and Roots

Virtuosity

The Matrix (trilogy)

Caprica (series)
Shadow Companytag:www.andrewwallerstein.com,2005:Post/53710972018-08-01T17:02:34-04:002023-12-10T11:33:01-05:00Psychonaut Has Landed!
Here at Shadow Company we don't "drop" albums. (That sounds so much better coming from Snoop, anyway.) Besides, we think a bit more cosmically, baby. Like the industrial hip-ship of your dreams making landfall... Which is exactly what our hero Psychonaut has just done!

Born in the dark recesses of some strange minds and finely matured in our secret NYC studio, Dub Reggae, Industrial and Funk flavors mix feely and occasionally jarringly on this little platter, creating a study in contrast between these disparate yet fundamentally intertwined genres.

This one has really been a pleasure, folks. Making the kind of music that we want to hear is always a privilege, but even more so is having you along for the ride!

Or ePub, as the case may be. Drawn from anecdotal reporting and first-hand experience, it's protagonists inhabit a world of smuggling, information brokerages, and industrial espionage where only the gutter is the limit

A private tour of our Princeton, NJ studio, including a guest appearance by our slot-machine-and-booze-addled mascot, Ethyl (visible at left)! Why isn't it in NYC, you ask, like the rest of our operation? Have you seen Manhattan and Brooklyn rents lately? Besides, even the most hard-boiled New Yorkers need to get out of town every once in a while ;)
Shadow Companytag:www.andrewwallerstein.com,2005:Post/51328592018-03-16T19:47:33-04:002022-04-24T13:50:13-04:00Countdown to Psychonaut!
Right around the corner... Maybe not right around the corner, but definitely coming this Spring... Or maybe this Summer... PSYCHONAUT!

Though our dispositions have not matured, our musical collective most definitely has. Dub Reggae, Post-Punk, and Funk flavors mix feely and occasionally jarringly on this platter, a study in contrast as much as it is an exploration of these fundamentally intertwined genres.

This one has really been a pleasure so far, folks, so much so that we're a little loathe to complete it! The digital release will contain a bonus track not available on CD, as if you needed another excuse to shed your brick-and-mortar existence ;)

Just to show you I'm not all best, what follows is my very favorite series, in the appropriate order. This may be background noise to some, but it's still art and can be very soothing with the right content in the right frame of mind! We'll start with a fairly simple one:

The Blade Runner Binge

Blade Runner

Supplementary Material (BR2049 bonus material)

Blade Runner 2049

A great little saga, hopefully soon. But "Blade Runner" and "Blade Runner 2049" are distinct movies that nonetheless for a cohesive whole. The environments are as lush as ever, and haven't skipped a step in all the years they've been around. But now for something a bit more complicated... From a most comlicated and enviable of directors, Ridley Scott! Ok let's try for a little more time consuming. Even if it means you have to sleep in the next day, don't miss the ultimate timeline:

The Preadator/AVP/Predator Binge

Predator

Predator 2

Alien v. Predator

Predators

Alien

Aiens

Alien3

Not that I leave out the second AVP. This is for good reason: not only is it terrible, it breaks the whole actipn-packed flow!
Shadow Company
